This tournament is for Teens in grades 7 - 12. It will be a single elimination brqacket tournament with prizes for all semi-finalists. To participate, you must be present in the basement of the Livonia Noble Library at 5:30p.m. on Monday, March 15. First round opponents will be drawn at random.   Noontime Concert: Folk Music
Location: Civic Center Library
Folk music has no nameable origin. Its more of a tradition than entertainment. Songs by some American legends like Leadbelly and Woody Guthrie tell stories that don’t often appear in history books. More recently the likes of Harry Chapin, Jim Croce, James Taylor, Cat Steven, and Joan Baez have become legendary. The Noontime Concert Series is pleased to welcome back Michael Bryce to entertain the audience with classic favorites from his extensive repertoire. Civic Center Library Atrium. Admission is Free.

  Michigan Railroad Stations Past and Present
Location: Friends of Livonia Public Library
Dave Mrozek is a retired financial analyst and has been interested in trains, depots, and other railroad support structures since the late-1960s. In addition to photographing trains, Mrozek also enjoys writing about them. Between 1978 and 1986, he wrote a column entitled “Down at the Depot” for the Michigan Railroad Club's monthly newsletter, The Michigan Railfan. In 1986, he assumed responsibility for the club's calendar, “ Michigan Rails,” and oversaw its creation for the next 10 years. His book, Railroad Depots of Michigan: 1910-1920 was published in 2008. Please join us at the Civic Center Library Auditorium for this free program provided for the community by the Friends of the Livonia Library. Refreshments will be available in the Michigan Room at the conclusion of the presentation.
