These databases are available to Michigan residents through funding from the State of Michigan. You may use them either in the library or at home with a valid library card or Michigan driver's license/state id. Infotrac Web provides access to 16 different and very useful databases including General Reference Center Gold for magazine articles, Custom Newspapers covering The Detroit Free Press and other newspapers around the country and Health Reference Center for articles on health issues. Many of the articles in these databases are full-text.

Ancestry LibraryAncestry Library Edition
Ancestry Library is a subscription version of Ancestry.com. Find census, birth, marriage, death records and more. Available for in library use only.

Heritage QuestHeritage Quest
Heritage Quest is another genealogy research tool. It offers more than 22,000 digitized book titles, including early family histories and local histories. Plus, there are more than 250 primary-source documents such as tax lists, city directories, probate records and more.

SirsSirs Discoverer
Sirs Discoverer is geared toward elementary and middle school students. This database contains The World Almanac for Kids, and an encyclopedia with 26,000 entries, as well as articles and graphics that pertain to the elementary and middle school curriculums.

eLibrary Elementary provides fulltext articles from magazines, books, newspapers, radio and tv transcripts, maps and photos for K-6 graders.

Ebsco Host Ebook CollectionEbsco Host
Ebsco Host, formerly known as Net Library, is a collection of books in electronic format. You must register for an ebsco host account at the public library. After you register, you can access the collection from home. If you had an account thru Net Libtrary, you will need to register for a new account under Ebsco Host.
