History: Livonia Civic Center Library opened August 1, 1988. Since the Livonia Libraries were on the cutting edge of technology, and were using computerized catalogs since 1985, Civic Center Library opened without ever having the traditional card catalog. Our holdings were accessible by computer from the very first day.
