    Children’s storytime and music programs are open to preschool Livonia children. All children younger than three years old must be accompanied by an adult (one child per adult), unless otherwise specified. Space is limited so register early!

    At Civic Center Library, registration begins Monday, March 9 at 9:00 am (734) 466-2493. At Noble Library, registration begins Monday, March 9 at 12:00 pm (734) 421-4235. At Sandburg Library, registration begins Tuesday, March 10 at 12:00 pm (248) 893-4010. Register for storytimes in person or by phone.

    Sessions begin the week of March 16 and end the week of April 27.


    BABY STORYTIME*
    Ages 12 to 23 months with parent or loving caregiver
    Babies are invited to bring a loving caregiver along for songs, simple stories, and other activities that introduce our youngest patrons to the pleasures of the library. Registration required. Helpful Hints

    SATURDAY CINEMA

    READING WITH THE DOGS*

    Introducing our Two New Therapy Dogs: Sophie and Zeus! Kids ages 6-12 can come by and practice their reading skills with two very good listeners. Register in person, or by phone at (734) 466-2493.

    LEGO ROBOTICS CLASS*
    Grades 2-6
    Friday, March 6 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm and
    Saturday, March 7 at 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 4:00 pm
    Join us for a FREE Robotics class and parent orientation to help give families a taste of how STEM can be engaging and fun! Students will enjoy: Creating and programming robots with LEGO bricks; Collaborating and experimenting with other kids in friendly competitions; and Learning to troubleshoot and solve problems.     PIRATE FUN*
    Ages 7 to 12

    CUPCAKE DECORATING CHALLENGE *
    Grades 4 - 8
    Saturday, March 21 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm
    Test out your cupcake decorating skills against other Tweens and Teens and possibly win a prize! All materials, including cupcakes, will be provided. Register in person or by phone at (734) 466-2493, beginning Saturday, March 7.

    MINECRAFT @ YOUR LIBRARY *

    CELEBRATION OF KITES*
    Ages 7 to 12
    Saturday, April 11 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm
    Learn about and make fun animal-shaped indoor kites. Find out about delta-wing, diamond, par foil and other shaped outdoor kites and make some of your own. Materials and instructional handouts will be provided. We will go outside and try them out—time and weather permitting!     DOLLARS & SENSE STORYTIME*
    Ages 3 to 6
    Saturday, April 18 at 11:00 am

    FREE CODING CLASS*
    Grades 3-5

    Join us for a FREE coding class and parent orientation to help give families a taste for how computer programming can be engaging, fun, and easy! Students will get hands-on experience learning code, creating stories and skills to design video games, and building skills in problem solving, logic and physics through hands-on creation.
